Little Bruises

Buried

just below

feather-pillow skin,

Blemishes

tiny blue dots

pin-prick constellations

punctuating every inch,

Like looking into a deep cave

faint vibrations of

a menacing growl

settling into your chest,

halting your diaphragm.

Little Bruises

rise to the surface,

a deep-ocean planet

in miniscule galaxies,

where strange creatures

await discovery.
