I want to give you a word.

Envelop.

En-vell-up,

En-vel-ope?

I'll let you have envelop

it is the way I feel submerged,

wrap yourself around me.

Not to be confused with envelope

but you can still be

the paper that keeps me

as I move from this city

 to the next

I'll tuck myself folded into your pocket,

cover me

like the sea that I will drown in

I'll give you that.

You can leave

your socks on my floor,

I didn't notice before,

they belong there anyway.

You can cast a muddy shoe print

on my white bath mat

It is your fossil

and I enjoy discovering it

 next to my bare feet.

If I could wrap it in ribbons,

I would,

the night when we will

 dance in our kitchen

I haven't picked the song yet

but I will rest my head on your shoulder

as we slowly turn in circles

I imagine I'll be nervous

I haven't danced since high school.
