Destroy and Uncreate

"The month is almost gone,

we'll be buying Christmas presents before long"

I am watching time move,

if it does in fact, have motion.

Ticking second hands have become

a soundtrack to my movie,

the sun is intense and the hibiscus bush bright,

the month is almost gone.

I build expectations like sand castles

and watch apathetically

as the high tide whisks them away,

I will insist I won't build another

I will.

 But this time I will

stomp it out of existence

 before the waves

can snatch it away for me,

we are all victims of circumstance,

I am not a Queen.

I am a lowly beggar

peeling apart a rubber band ball

fostering the entropy

that would occur without me anyway,

you might call me free energy,

but I wouldn't say I'm free,

Destroy and uncreate,

this or something greater

if it is meant for me.
