All the Colors

Murky green water speckled with brown,
algae festering in globs, the shade of sick,
swirling through the water,
I don't see my reflection
until you step up behind me
and offer me cranberry-colored condolences,
washing over me with purple conversations,
your lilting voice is lavender,
liquifying into my hot orange summer haze,
deep gray mush
surfacing, purifying,
pumping oxygen back into this pool
with the clarity of every blue ocean
coupled with every pristine white crystal,
clear, crisp
bending all the colors
like a glowing glass prism.
